Project: Construction and monitoring of fuel efficient stoves for institutional cookingFunded By: Foundation for Ecological Security (FES)Duration: 6 monthsThe Foundation for Ecological Security is a not for profit organization working for ecological restoration and conservation of land and water resources. FES approached TIDE to intervene with demonstration of fuel efficient equipment for firewood conservation in institutional cooking in their project area in Madanapalle falling under the Papagni watershed. As per the terms of reference TIDE would construct 50 fuel efficient wood burning stoves and demonstrate their acceptance. The range of products that would demonstrated are:
In this project TIDE is adapting existing designs of stoves to incorporate local user preferences, constructing and commissioning of stoves, ensuring user acceptance, carrying out performance monitoring and reporting of performance of the stoves. The project is also supported by the Non conventional Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh
