FOCUS: WOMEN AND LIVELIHOODS

Project: Training in environment friendly micro enterprise development and management

Project Duration: March 2008 to February 2009

Project Support: HP India Pvt. Ltd.

This project support from HP India Pvt. Ltd. which includes HP micro enterprise technology and curriculum is expected to enhance the training competency at TIDE. TIDE would use this competency to train about 100 women in micro enterprise development and management in the first year and diversify into more training programs in the subsequent years.

TIDE has been training women in the use of different technologies for income generation under its gender and livelihoods programs. These trainings impart technical skills that necessarily have to be used in an enterprise mode to generate incomes. The enterprise training would enable TIDE to maximize incomes for women.
